Achill Walks Festival / Féile Siúlóidí Acla

A walking festival with a difference

Established in 2002, the Achill Walks Festival is one of Ireland's newest hillwalking events. It is also one of the earliest in the Irish hillwalking calendar, usually taking place around St. Patrick's Day (17th March). This scheduling is one of the features that makes the Achill Walks Festival different - on one day of the event walkers have the option to follow the Achill pipe bands on their traditional St. Patrick's Day parades.

The 2008 Achill Walks Festival took place on Saturday 15th, Sunday 16th and Monday 17th March.
