Achill will host a ‘Day of Grace’ event to celebrate the life of Grace O’Malley (Granuaile) on Saturday 28th June 2025.
Produced by Achill-based group Circus250, with support from Mayo County Council, the day will feature family-friendly workshops, a free outdoor circus-themed show, and a performance of ‘Dauntless’ by renowned storyteller Deborah Newbold.

With original music, powerful storytelling, and gravity-defying circus, this brand new show brings the legend of Grace O’Malley vividly to life. From stormy seas to royal courts, join Granuaile on her remarkable voyage across history.
