4th April: Mayo Live Stranding Course
Mayo IDWG hosts a one-day course on the welfare and first aid of live stranded cetaceans. Venue: Achill Outdoor Education Centre, Cashel. For more details and booking see event page on facebook.

Climb Achill Island’s three highest peaks in one day to raise awareness of childhood cancer, in memory of an amazing boy Gearoid. More Details on facebook.

4th July: Achill Half Marathon & 10K

5th – 31st July: Feile na Mara
Annual festival celebrating Achill’s maritime heritage and the rich harvest of its Atlantic waters. Full details TBC.

Annual village festival in Dooagh. Details TBC.
26th July: Scoil Acla
Annual summer school for Irish music, dancing, arts & culture. See scoilacla.ie for details. Booking from March.
18th – 19th July: Mayo International Kite Festival
26th July: St. Colman’s Garden Fete
Annual garden fete at St. Colman’s, Pollagh. Family fun and entertainment, stalls, games, fresh seafood and boxty, plus monster Wheel of Fortune.
