Wednesday 7th August

8.00pm – Festival Bingo
Jackpot €200 must go on the night.


Friday 9th August

8.30pm – A Night At The Musicals – Achill Style
Tickets €10 available on EventBrite, from Achill Tourism, Achill Sound Post Office, Patten’s Bar, and cast members.

10.30pm – Music by Steve McCrorie (winner of UK Voice 2015)

Saturday 10th August

12 noon – 5K & 10K Road Races

3.00pm – Children’s Feis & Talent competition

8.00pm – Official Opening with Gala Buffet
Pig on a spit plus numerous other menu choices followed by music with Steve McCrorie. Tickets €25 from EventBrite, Achill Tourism, Achill Sound Post Office and Patten’s Bar.


Sunday 11th August

12 noon – Family Fun Day
Safari obstacle course, rodeo bull, human demolition, nerf wall, bungee run, toddler’s castle, TJ’s Teddies, face painting, spud & spoon race, sack race, welly throwing, mini digger basketball challenge, balloon modelling, costume characters and more.

3.00pm – Magical Show with RTE Junior’s Joe Daly’s Abra-KID-Abra television show

9.30pm – Music with Hugh Ruddy


Monday 12th August

2.30pm – Ladies Day: Afternoon Tea with Prosecco reception
Katrina Gallagher of Eskape Beauty Salon presents Ellen Griffin, Artdeco’s professional makeup artist Hair Care Demo by Dublin-based Hair Stylist Gemma Kilbane. Ticket only event, available from Achill Sound Post Office and Patten’s Bar.

Depart Céibh Bheag 10.00am. Rods down 10.30am. Rods up 4.00pm. €50pp. Limited number of places.

2.30pm – A Taste of Achill
By Achill’s award-winning chef Antony Holland from the Ice House Ballina. Achill produce used where possible: Clare Island Salmon, Caoracla Lamb, Achill Oysters, Clew Bay Mussels, Keem Bay Fisheries smoked salmon & barbequed salmon, Achill Island Sea Salt, Achill Honey, and Achill picked dillisk and carrageen.

7.00pm – Achill’s Coast Guard Stations
Talk by Frank Masterson

8.30pm – Monster Bingo

Thursday 15th August

8.30pm – Live Music with Conan & Rose followed by Ireland’s No.1 Celtic Rock Band ‘The Whistlin’ Donkeys’.
Ticket only event, tickets €15 from EventBrite, Achill Tourism, Achill Sound Post Office and Patten’s Bar. Strictly over-18s for this event, no ID no entry.


Saturday 17th August

8.00am – Kildownnet Golf Day at Achill Island Golf Club, Keel

One hour jiving class by Sandra Ganley’s Dancing School.

2.30pm – Jiving Workshop: Senior Class Over 13s to Adults

Monday 19th August

National Heritage Week Event

6.00pm – Launch of Booklet & Unveiling of Plaque on the Atlantic Drive Dedicated to Mná Acla
The women of Achill who coped with loneliness and hardship in the absence of their men folk who were forced to emigrate to provide for their families. The unveiling will be performed by European election candidate Saoirse Mc Hugh and will be followed with refreshments and traditional music in Patten’s Bar.
