A celebration of Achill’s heritage and culture, communicated and interpreted through the buildings, places and pathways of the area. Full details to follow. See facebook.com/TalkingWallsAchill for latest news.
Memorial Lanterns
One of the events featured in the Talking Walls Festival is a Memorial Night (Monday 14th October), when a flotilla of lighted memorial lanterns is launched into the sea in remembrance of loved ones. Memorial lanterns are available from Achill Tourism’s office in Achill Sound, and they can be personalised with a message written onto the ‘sail’ of each vessel. You can also order your Memorial Lanterns online and we will launch them for you.
