The Wavecrest Hotel in Dooagh will host a launch party for the new album ‘Chongie Road’ by local musician Séan Lynch. The event takes place on Saturday 23rd September with doors open for 7.30pm for customers to watch the Ireland vs South Africa World Cup rugby clash before the album launch.
As well as showcasing the music of uileann piper Seán Lynch, the event will also launch a fundraising drive as part of September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Three worthy charitable causes will be supported on the night: St. John’s Ward, Crumlin; Aoibheann’s Pink Tie; and local charity Gearóid’s Smile.
The evening promises to be an exhilarating mix of music, community and charity, with special guests and Achill musicians including The Achill Lads, Bríd McLoughlin and Aoife Fadian. Tickets priced €10 can be purchased from Achill Tourism’s Keel information office, outlets across Achill, and a limited number will be available on the door.
