Achill Sound will host an Easter Parade followed by music on a big stage, on Sunday 20th April. This will be the second year the event has taken place on Easter Sunday and the colourful display will see local groups, organisations and businesses parading across the Micheal Davitt bridge and through Achill Sound. The organisers, Achill Tourism, will host a compere outside its offices at Davitt Quarter (F28 W9N7) and the parade will end at the new Greenway Trailhead car park (F28 XE77), opposite Achill Sound Library. The parade is due to start at 1pm.
The car park will provide the venue for the Big Stage, which will host a selection of local music and entertainment acts. Confirmed acts so far include Michael S. Togher & Clodagh, James Kilbane, Atlantic Rhythm, Moffatt School of Irish Dancing and Cheers. Check back for more names as they are added! The fun starts at the Big Stage immediately after the parade, approximately 1.30pm, and continues until 4pm.
